DEVELOPING ANALYTICAL READING COMPETENCY OF PRATHOMSUKSA 6 STUDENTS IN BAN KHAI NUN SCHOOL USING BRAIN-BASED LEARNING

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) develop the analytical reading competency of Prathomsuksa 6 students in Ban Khai Nun School using brain-based learning, with an expected mean score of not less than 75 percent and at least 75 percent of students meeting the benchmark 2) compare the analytical reading competency of Prathomsuksa 6 students in Ban Khai Nun School after learning through brain-based learning with the 75 percent criterion and 3) investigate the opinions of Prathomsuksa 6 students in Ban Khai Nun School toward brain-based learning. The sample consisted of 23 Prathomsuksa 6 students studying in the second semester of the 2024 academic year at Ban Khai Nun School, selected through simple random sampling using classrooms as the sampling unit. The research instruments included 1) brain-based learning management plans 2) an analytical reading competency assessment and 3) a questionnaire on students' opinions toward brain-based learning. The data were analyzed using mean x̅ , standard deviation (S.D.), percentage, and one-sample t-test.The results of research revealed that 1) The Prathomsuksa 6 students in Ban Khai Nun School, after participating in brain-based learning, achieved an average score higher than 75 percent, with a mean score of x̅ = 25.09 and a standard deviation of S.D. = 2.19 out of a total score of 30, equivalent to 83.62 percent. Additionally, 91.30 percent of the students met the benchmark. 2) The analytical reading competency of the Prathomsuksa 6 students in Ban Khai Nun School after participating in brain-based learning showed a mean score of x̅ = 25.09 and a standard deviation of S.D. = 2.23, accounting for 83.62 percent, which was significantly higher than the specified benchmark of 75 percent at the .05 level of significance. The results confirmed the research hypothesis. And 3) The opinions of Prathomsuksa 6 students in Ban Khai Nun School toward brain-based learning were found to be at the highest level overall, with a mean score of x̅ = 4.58 and a standard deviation of S.D. = 0.54.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์ ดังนี้ 1) เพื่อพัฒนาสมรรถนะการอ่านเชิงวิเคราะห์ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนบ้านไคร่นุ่น ด้วยการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้แนวคิดสมองเป็นฐาน ให้มีคะแนนเฉลี่ยไม่น้อยกว่าร้อยละ 75 และมีนักเรียนผ่านเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 75 ขึ้นไป 2) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบสมรรถนะด้านการอ่านเชิงวิเคราะห์ ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนบ้านไคร่นุ่น ด้วยการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้แนวคิดสมองเป็นฐาน คะแนนหลังเรียนกับเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 75 และ 3) เพื่อศึกษาความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนบ้านไคร่นุ่น ที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้แนวคิดสมองเป็นฐาน กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่กำลังศึกษาในภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2567 โรงเรียนบ้านไคร่นุ่น จำนวน 23 คน ได้มาโดยวิธีการสุ่มอย่างง่าย (Simple Random Sampling) โดยการจับสลากใช้ห้องเรียนเป็นหน่วยสุ่ม เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ 1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้การจัดการเรียนรู้ตามแนวคิดสมองเป็นฐาน 2) แบบวัดสมรรถนะด้านการอ่านเชิงวิเคราะห์ และ 3) แบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนชั้นประมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้แนวคิดสมองเป็นฐาน สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย x̅ ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) ค่าร้อยละ และการทดสอบค่าที (One sample t-test)ผลวิจัยพบว่า :1. นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนบ้านไคร่นุ่น หลังการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้แนวคิดสมองเป็นฐานสูงกว่าร้อยละ 75 โดยมีคะแนนเฉลี่ย x̅ = 25.09 คะแนน และ S.D. = 2.19 จากคะแนนเต็ม 30 คะแนน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 83.62 และมีจำนวนนักเรียนผ่านเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 91.302. สมรรถนะด้านการอ่านเชิงวิเคราะห์ ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนบ้านไคร่นุ่น หลังการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้แนวคิดสมองเป็นฐาน มีคะแนนเฉลี่ย x̅ = 25.09 และ S.D. = 2.23 คิดเป็นร้อย 83.62 ซึ่งสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ที่กำหนดร้อยละ 75.00 โดยมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 และเป็นไปตามสมมติฐานที่ตั้งไว้3. ความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนบ้านไคร่นุ่น ที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้แนวคิดสมองเป็นฐาน ภาพรวมนักเรียนมีความคิดเห็นในระดับมากที่สุด มีค่าเฉลี่ย x̅ = 4.58 และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน S.D. = 0.54
