THE PROMOTION OF BUDDHISM ACCORDING TO THE VIEW OF PHRATHEPWACHIRAWIMON (SAYAN SRISURA) IN ROI ET PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of the research were: 1) to examine theoretical concepts related to the promotion of Buddhism; (2) to study the promotion of Buddhism in Roi Et Province according to the perspectives of Phra Thepwachirawimon (Sayan Srisura); and (3) to analyze the promotion of Buddhism in Roi Et Province based on the viewpoints of Phra Thepwachirawimon (Sayan Srisura). This study employed documentary research methods, primarily analyzing data from relevant documents and previous studies. The collected data were analyzed and synthesized and then presented in a descriptive manner. The research findings revealed that : 1) Theoretical concepts concerning the promotion of Buddhism emphasize the application of Buddhist principles in accordance with contemporary social contexts, along with effective management of religious organizations. The focus is on dissemination and religious practice aimed at cultivating morality and peace in life. 2) The promotion of Buddhism in Roi Et Province, according to the perspectives of Phra Thepwachirawimon (Sayan Srisura), emphasizes driving the Sangha’s six core missions: administration, religious education, dissemination of Buddhism, public infrastructure development, public welfare, and educational support. These efforts aim to develop monks, religious institutions, and the public to possess moral integrity and intellectual strength, enabling them to serve as a central force for sustainable social development in the region. 3) The conceptual framework for promoting Buddhism in Roi Et Province, as viewed by Phra Thepwachirawimon (Sayan Srisura), highlights the adaptation of Buddhist teachings to the modern era by technology and contemporary media for dissemination. It focuses on developing “the public” to possess both knowledge and morality and strengthening “the Sangha organization” with good governance, enabling it to function as a sustainable spiritual and social leader.

วิทยานิพนธ์นี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์ดังต่อไปนี้ 1) เพื่อศึกษาแนวคิดทฤษฎีเกี่ยวกับการส่งเสริมพระพุทธศาสนา 2) เพื่อศึกษาการส่งเสริมพระพุทธศาสนาในจังหวัดร้อยเอ็ด ตามทัศนะของพระเทพ วชิรวิมล (สายัณห์ ศรีสุระ) 3) เพื่อวิเคราะห์การส่งเสริมพระพุทธศาสนาในจังหวัดร้อยเอ็ด ตามทัศนะของพระเทพวชิรวิมล (สายัณห์ ศรีสุระ) วิทยานิพนธ์นี้เป็นงานวิจัยเอกสาร โดยการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลจากเอกสารและงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องเป็นหลัก แล้วนำข้อมูลที่ได้มาวิเคราะห์สังเคราะห์แล้วนำเสนอในเชิงพรรณนา ผลจากการวิจัยพบว่า : 1) แนวคิดทฤษฎีเกี่ยวกับการส่งเสริมพระพุทธศาสนาเน้นไปที่การประยุกต์ใช้หลักธรรมคำสอนให้เข้ากับบริบทสังคมสมัยใหม่ และการบริหารจัดการองค์กรทางศาสนาอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ โดยมุ่งเน้นการเผยแผ่และการปฏิบัติธรรมเพื่อพัฒนาคุณธรรมและสันติสุขในชีวิต 2) การส่งเสริมพระพุทธศาสนาในจังหวัดร้อยเอ็ด ตามทัศนะของพระเทพวชิรวิมล (สายัณห์ ศรีสุระ) เน้นการขับเคลื่อน ภารกิจคณะสงฆ์ 6 ด้าน ได้แก่ ด้านการปกครอง ด้านศาสนศึกษา ด้านการเผยแผ่ ด้านสาธารณูปการ ด้านสาธารณสงเคราะห์ และการศึกษาสงเคราะห์ มีเป้าหมายเพื่อพัฒนาพระสงฆ์ ศาสนสถาน และประชาชนให้มีคุณธรรมและความเข้มแข็งทางปัญญา พร้อมเป็นแกนหลักในการพัฒนาสังคมอย่างยั่งยืนในพื้นที่ 3) แนวคิดการส่งเสริมพระพุทธศาสนาในจังหวัดร้อยเอ็ด ตามทัศนะของพระเทพ วชิรวิมล (สายัณห์ ศรีสุระ) เน้นการประยุกต์หลักธรรมให้เข้ากับยุคสมัย ผ่านการใช้เทคโนโลยีและสื่อสมัยใหม่ในการเผยแผ่ มุ่งเน้นการพัฒนา "ประชาชน" ให้มีความรู้คู่คุณธรรม และสร้าง "องค์กรสงฆ์" ให้เข้มแข็ง พร้อมกับมีธรรมาภิบาล เพื่อเป็นผู้นำทางจิตวิญญาณและสังคมอย่างยั่งยืน
