MANAGEMENT OF MONASTIC AFFAIRS WITH BUDDHIST PRINCIPLES: THE PROCESS OF STRENGTHENING OF ECCLESIASTIC IN SONGKHLA PROVINCE

Abstract

The Administration of Sangha Affairs Using Buddhist Principles: A Process for Strengthening Sangha Administrators in Songkhla Province Objectives. 1) To study the administration of Sangha affairs. 2) To study Buddhist principles for strengthening Sangha administrators in Songkhla Province. 3)To study and analyze the administration of Sangha affairs using Buddhist principles as a process for strengthening Sangha administrators in Songkhla Province. This is a qualitative research study, and the data were descriptively analyzed. The research findings that:1. The administration of Sangha affairs in Songkhla Province is strong and well-organized, focusing strictly on governance according to the Dhamma-Vinaya and the Sangha Act. There is a clear administrative structure from the provincial level down to individual temples. However, some areas still lack continuity in administration, and cooperation between monks and external agencies needs improvement. The promotion of monastic education is ongoing but faces shortages of teachers and funding. Buddhist propagation is diverse, but there is a need for modernization to reach younger generations. In terms of public charity and educational support, the Sangha plays an important role but lacks adequate budget and external cooperation. Many temples have seen development progress, yet land management and financial issues still need to be addressed. Overall, the administration of Sangha affairs has advanced in many areas.2. The application of the Seven Principles of Non-Decline (aparihaniya-dhamma) in Sangha administration in Songkhla helps promote orderliness, unity, and stability within the monastic community, particularly in governance, education, propagation, and public charity. Regular meetings enable information exchange and progress tracking. Harmonious gatherings and respect for senior monks foster respect and internal cooperation, while offering protection and support reinforces security and stability. Adherence to these principles ensures smooth administrative operations and helps the Buddhist religion flourish, becoming a true refuge for the community.3. The process of applying Buddhist principles to strengthen Sangha administrators consists of three key components: (1) Conceptual Framework (Planning) – strengthening understanding of Buddhist teachings, studying the Tipitaka and related scriptures, and developing modern administrative capacities to enable wise decision-making; (2) Techniques (Methods) – applying Buddhist principles in practice, such as cultivating mindfulness and loving-kindness meditation, and building collaborative networks with external organizations to support administration(3) Human Relations Development – fostering good relationships with all stakeholders through mindfulness, compassionate communication, and conflict resolution skills. These components help Sangha administrators manage affairs effectively, strengthen faith in Buddhism, and propagate the Dhamma appropriately and sustainably.

การวิจัยเรื่อง การบริหารกิจการคณธสงฆ์ด้วยหลักพุทธธรรม : กระบวนการสร้างความเข้มแข็งของพระสังฆาธิการจังหวัดสงขลา มีวัตถุประสงค์ดังนี้ 1. ศึกษาการบริหารกิจการคณะสงฆ์ 2. ศึกษาหลักพุทธรรมในการสร้างความเข้มแข็งของพระสังฆาธิการ จังหวัดสงขลา 3. ศึกษา วิเคราะห์การบริหารกิจการคณะสงฆ์ด้วยหลักพุทธธรรม : กระบวนการสร้างความเข้มแข็งของพระ สังฆาธิการ จังหวัดสงขลา เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ และได้นำข้อมูลมาเรียบเรียงเชิงพรรณนา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1. การบริหารกิจการคณะสงฆ์ในจังหวัดสงขลาเข้มแข็งและมีระบบ โดยเน้นการปกครองตามพระธรรมวินัยและกฎหมายคณะสงฆ์อย่างเคร่งครัด มีโครงสร้างบริหารที่ชัดเจนตั้งแต่ระดับจังหวัดถึงระดับวัด แต่บางพื้นที่ยังขาดความต่อเนื่องในการบริหารงาน ปัญหาความร่วมมือระหว่างพระสงฆ์กับหน่วยงานภายนอกยังต้องปรับปรุงให้ดีขึ้น ด้านการศึกษาพระปริยัติธรรมมีการส่งเสริมต่อเนื่อง แต่ยังขาดครูผู้สอนและงบประมาณ การเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนามีความหลากหลาย แต่ต้องปรับให้ทันสมัยเพื่อเข้าถึงคนรุ่นใหม่ งานสาธารณสงเคราะห์และการศึกษาสงเคราะห์ของคณะสงฆ์มีบทบาทสำคัญ แต่ยังขาดงบประมาณและความร่วมมือจากภายนอก วัดหลายแห่งได้รับการพัฒนา แต่ยังมีปัญหาการจัดการที่ดินและงบประมาณที่ต้องแก้ไข โดยรวมการบริหารกิจการคณะสงฆ์มีความก้าวหน้าในหลายด้าน 2. การนำหลักอปริหานิยธรรม 7 ประการมาใช้ในการบริหารคณะสงฆ์จังหวัดสงขลา ช่วยเสริมสร้างความเป็นระเบียบ ความสามัคคี และความมั่นคงของหมู่คณะ ทั้งในด้านการปกครอง การศึกษา การเผยแผ่ และการสาธารณสงเคราะห์ การหมั่นประชุมอย่างสม่ำเสมอช่วยให้เกิดการแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลและติดตามความก้าวหน้าได้อย่างต่อเนื่อง การพร้อมเพรียงกันประชุมและเคารพผู้ใหญ่ช่วยสร้างความเคารพและความร่วมมือภายในองค์กร ขณะที่การถวายความอารักขาช่วยเสริมความปลอดภัยและความมั่นคง การยึดมั่นในหลักเหล่านี้ทำให้การบริหารงานของคณะสงฆ์ดำเนินไปอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพและราบรื่น นอกจากนี้ยังช่วยให้พระพุทธศาสนาเจริญรุ่งเรืองและเป็นที่พึ่งสำคัญของชุมชนในทุกมิติอย่างแท้จริง 3. กระบวนการนำหลักพุทธธรรมมาเสริมสร้างความเข้มแข็งของพระสังฆาธิการประกอบด้วย 3 องค์ประกอบหลัก ได้แก่ ความคิดรวบยอด การเสริมสร้างความรู้ในพระธรรมคำสอนและการพัฒนาศักยภาพด้านการบริหารจัดการ เพื่อให้ตัดสินใจได้อย่างมีวิจารณญาณ เทคนิคการนำหลักธรรมไปประยุกต์ใช้จริง เช่น การเจริญสติและเมตตาภาวนา รวมถึงการสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือกับหน่วยงานภายนอก และการพัฒนามนุษยสัมพันธ์ เพื่อเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์ที่ดีกับทุกฝ่ายผ่านสติและเมตตา องค์ประกอบเหล่านี้ช่วยให้พระสังฆาธิการบริหารงานได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ เสริมสร้างศรัทธาในพระพุทธศาสนา และเผยแผ่หลักธรรมอย่างเหมาะสมและยั่งยืน
