Abstract

วิทยานิพนธ์นี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1. ศึกษาแนวคิดและวิธีการสร้างเทียนพรรษา 2. ศึกษาประเพณีหล่อเทียนพรรษา วัดแสนสุข ตำบลแสนสุข อำเภอวารินชำราบ จังหวัดอุบลราชธานี และ 3. วิเคราะห์ประเพณีหล่อเทียนพรรษา วัดแสนสุข ตำบลแสนสุข อำเภอวารินชำราบ จังหวัดอุบลราชธานี โดยใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล ได้แก่ การวิจัยทางเอกสาร และการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกแบบเจาะจง กลุ่มผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญจำนวน 8 คน แล้วนำข้อมูลมาวิเคราะห์ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1.แนวคิดและวิธีการสร้างเทียนพรรษา เกิดจากความศรัทธาในพระพระพุทธศาสนาเป็นหลัก เพื่อเป็นการสร้างเครื่องสักการะถวายแด่พระภิกษุสงฆ์ในช่วงเข้าพรรษา ใช้ประกอบศาสนกิจและเป็นพุทธบูชา เป็นการสืบทอดพระพุทธศาสนา ส่งเสริมการทำบุญ สร้างอานิสงส์ และปลูกฝังคุณธรรม จริยธรรม ความเสียสละ รวมถึงส่งเสริมการมีส่วนร่วม ความร่วมแรงร่วมใจ และความสามัคคีของชุมชน ทำให้วัดเป็นศูนย์กลางทางจิตใจของชุมชน 2.ประเพณีหล่อเทียนพรรษา วัดแสนสุข ตำบลแสนสุข อำเภอวารินชำราบ จังหวัดอุบลราชธานี ด้านประเพณีวัฒนธรรม ด้านความสามัคคี ตามหลักสาราณียธรรม 6 ประการ รู้ด้านแหล่งเรียน การหล่อเทียนพรรษาก่อให้เกิดการเรียนรู้ จากรุ่นสู่รุ่น และสามารถสืบทอดได้อย่างยั่งยืน ด้านเศรษฐกิจ ส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยว 3. วิเคราะห์ประเพณีหล่อเทียนพรรษาวัดแสนสุข ตำบลแสนสุข อำเภอวารินชำราบ จังหวัดอุบลราชธานี พบว่า การสร้างเทียนพรรษามีฐานคิดจากความศรัทธาทางพระพุทธศาสนา การสืบสานวัฒนธรรม การพัฒนาเทียนจากของใช้สู่พุทธศิลป์ อาศัยภูมิปัญญาช่างฝีมือ การถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้ และมีความสามัคคีตามหลักธรรม ซึ่งเป็นปัจจัยสำคัญที่นำพาประเพณีหล่อเทียนพรรษาไปสู่ความสำเร็จและคงอยู่ในสังคมไทย
