A STUDY OF COMMUNICATION DEVELOPMENT WITH BRAHMAVIHARA DHAMMA OF COMMUNITY LEADERS IN MUAENG DISTRICT, SONGKHLA PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of thesis were as follows: 1) to study concepts and theories about Community Development of Community Leaders, 2) to study the principles of Brahmavihara Dhamma in Theravada Buddhism, and 3) to analyze community development with Brahmavihara Dhamma of Community Leaders in Mueang District, Songkhla Province. The qualitative research study based on primary documents, such as the Tripitaka. And secondary documents ,such as commentary, textbooks, theories, and related research documents. The tool was an in-depth interview with 12 key informants/people.The data was collected and analyzed for content, and conclusions.The results of research were found that : From the concepts and theories about community development of community leaders it is important for development of quality human resources and if community leaders have adopted the principles of Brahmavihara Dhamma in Theravada Buddhism which consists of the 4 dhamma elements, that is Metta is love goodwill with wanting others to be happy. Karuna is compassionate thoughts of wanting others to be free from suffering. Mudita is joy when seeing others happy. Upekkha is the neutral belief in living according to the Dhamma that is considered with wisdom it will make the community prosper and developed further. Therefore, community development with Brahmavihara Dhamma of community leaders in Mueang district, Songkhla province. Therefore, it is measuring point that shows the well-being of people in the community live. However, community leaders needs to be developed in 3 areas: community educations, community organization and operations according to community processes.That community leaders or parents use to develop the community to provide a quality community and have peace. Because community is considered social capital that is the foundation for development., Therefore, if development methods are applied with the principles of leadership, people in the community will live happily together. It also helps improve the quality of life and the performance of duties of people in community to achieve their goals, efficiently.

วิทยานิพนธ์เรื่องนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์ดังนี้ 1) เพื่อศึกษาแนวคิดและทฤษฎีเกี่ยวกับการพัฒนาชุมชนของผู้นำชุมชน 2) เพื่อศึกษาหลักพรหมวิหารธรรมในพระพุทธศาสนาเถรวาท และ 3) เพื่อวิเคราะห์การพัฒนาชุมชนด้วยหลักพรหมวิหารธรรมของผู้นำชุมชน อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดสงขลา ซึ่งการศึกษานี้เป็นการศึกษาวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ จากเอกสารปฐมภูมิ ได้แก่ พระไตรปิฎก และเอกสารทุติยภูมิ ได้แก่ อรรถกถา ตำรา ทฤษฎีและเอกสารงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง พร้อมทั้งการใช้เครื่องมือเป็นแบบสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก กับผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญจำนวน 12 รูป/คน โดยเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลที่ได้นำมาวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา และสรุปผลผลการวิจัยพบว่า : จากแนวคิดและทฤษฎีเกี่ยวกับการพัฒนาชุมชนของผู้นำชุมชน เป็นเรื่องสำคัญต่อการพัฒนาทรัพยากรมนุษย์ให้มีคุณภาพ และหากผู้นำชุมชน ได้นำหลักพรหมวิหารธรรมในพระพุทธศาสนาเถรวาท อันประกอบด้วยองค์ธรรมทั้ง 4 มาใช้คือ เมตตา เป็นความรักความปรารถนาดีอยากให้ผู้อื่นมีความสุข, กรุณา เป็นความสงสารคิดอยากให้ผู้อิ่นพ้นทุกข์, มุทิตา เป็นความยินดีเมื่อเห็นผู้อื่นมีความสุข และอุเบกขา เป็นการวางใจเป็นการอันดำรงอยู่ตามธรรมที่พิจารณาด้วยปัญญา ย่อมทำให้ชุมชนมีความเจริญก้าวหน้า และเกิดการพัฒนายิ่งขึ้น ดังนั้นการพัฒนาชุมชนด้วยหลักพรหมวิหารธรรมของผู้นำชุมชนในอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดสงขลา จึงเป็นจุดชี้วัดที่แสดงให้เห็นถึง ความเป็นอยู่ที่ดีของคนในชุมชน ทั้งนี้ผู้นำชุมชนต้องพัฒนาใน 3 ด้านคือ ด้านการให้การศึกษาชุมชน ด้านการจัดระเบียบชุมชน และด้านการดำเนินงานตามกระบวนชุมชน ที่ผู้นำได้นำมาใช้ในการพัฒนาชุมชน เพื่อให้ชุมชนมีความสงบสุข คนในชุมชนมีคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดีขึ้น เนื่องจากชุมชนถือเป็นทุนทางสังคม ที่เป็นรากฐานในการพัฒนา ดังนั้น หากผู้นำชุมชนนำวิธีการพัฒนามาประยุกต์ใช้กับหลักพรหมวิหารธรรม ย่อมทำให้คนในชุมชนอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างมีความสุข ทั้งยังช่วยยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตและการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ของคนในชุมชนให้บรรลุเป้าหมายได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ
