FACTORS AFFECTING THE PROPAGATION OF BUDDHISM AMONG THE SANGHAS IN CHIANG KHAN DISTRICT, LOEI PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the concepts and theories of the propagation of Buddhism in the Sangha. 2) to study the factors affecting the propagation of Buddhism among the Sangha in Chiang Khan District, Loei Province and 3) to analyze the factors affecting the propagation of Buddhism among the Sangha in Chiang Khan District, Loei Province. This research was a qualitative study with descriptive analytics. The results of research were found that: 1.A study of the concept and theory of the propagation of Buddhism among the Sangha based on Ovadapatimokkha as the main principles of the propagation of Buddhism, consisting of 3 principles, namely, not committing all sins. Ready to make merit Purifying the mind, the 4 ideals are patience, non-violence, peace, focus on nirvana. The 6 methods include no harm, no harm, and restraint in the Ovadapatimokkha. Learn to be moderate in your consumption, stay in a calm place, and purify your mind. By traditional methods of propagation which is mainly preaching in the form of a sermon. 2.The factors affecting the propagation of Buddhism among the Sangha in Chiang Khan District, Loei Province consists of 5 fields: The field of Dharma principles, the monks focused on spreading basic Dhamma, focusing on giving alms, keeping the precepts, and praying. The field of religious person: Some monks and novices still have some deficiencies in moral conduct. The field of religious places: Every temple has various religious places that are complete and conducive to propagation. The field of religious ceremonies are suitable for propagating Buddhism through cultural processes and various merit-making traditions in a sustainable manner. And the field of religious objects, the temple has a cabinet for storing Tripitaka books, but they have not been used in the propagation of Buddhism. Religion has not yet been propagated through modern media. 3.From the analysis of factors affecting the propagation of Buddhism among the Sangha in Chiang Khan District, Loei Province, the factors that are ready to promote the propagation of Buddhism among the Sangha consist of 5 fields: the field of Dharma principles, the field of religious persons, the field of religious places, the field of religious ceremonies and the fields of religious objects. As for the development that will make it better, it should increase the potential of the field of religious person to have greater potential and the monks to be worthier of respect. Have knowledges and ability to propagate Buddhism to Buddhists and in the field of religious objects, there should be propagation of Dhamma principles from the Tripitaka and development of the use of technological media such as the Facebook page of each temple for used in the propagation of Buddhism and public relations. In addition, every temple organizes activities with the temple community that are appropriate to the context of the temple by adhering to the principles of “Bowon”, which is home, temple, school and government, which is a principle that should be further developed and strengthened. To create unity and stability.

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ คือ 1) เพื่อศึกษาแนวคิดทฤษฎีการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาของคณะสงฆ์ 2) เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาของคณะสงฆ์อำเภอเชียงคาน จังหวัดเลย และ 3) เพื่อวิเคราะห์ปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาของคณะสงฆ์อำเภอเชียงคาน จังหวัดเลย เป็นการวิจัยแบบเชิงคุณภาพด้วยการวิเคราะห์เชิงพรรณนาผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1.การศึกษาแนวคิดทฤษฎีการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาของคณะสงฆ์ยึดโอวาทปาฎิโมกข์เป็นหลักการสำคัญของการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนา ประกอบด้วย หลักการ 3 ได้แก่ การไม่ทำบาปทั้งปวง การทำกุศลให้ถึงพร้อม การทำจิตใจให้บริสุทธิ์ อุดมการณ์ 4 ได้แก่ อดทน ไม่เบียดเบียน ความสงบ มุ่งนิพพาน วิธีการ 6 ได้แก่ ไม่ว่าร้าย ไม่ทำร้าย สำรวมในปาฏิโมกข์ รู้จักประมาณในการบริโภค อยู่ในที่สงบ ชำระจิตให้สงบ โดยมีวิธีการเผยแผ่แบบดั้งเดิม ซึ่งเป็นการแสดงธรรมในรูปแบบการเทศนาเป็นหลัก 2.การศึกษาปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาของคณะสงฆ์อำเภอเชียงคาน จังหวัดเลย ประกอบด้วย 5 ด้าน คือ ด้านศาสนธรรม พระสงฆ์มุ่งเผยแผ่ธรรมพื้นฐานเน้นการทำทาน รักษาศีล และเจริญภาวนา ด้านศาสนบุคคล พระสงฆ์และสามเณรบางวัดยังมีวัตรปฏิบัติไม่เหมาะสมบางประการ ด้านศาสนสถาน ทุกวัดมีศาสนสถานต่างๆ สมบูรณ์เอื้อต่อการเผยแผ่ เป็นอย่างยิ่ง ด้านศาสนพิธีมีความเหมาะสมในการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาผ่านกระบวนการทางวัฒนธรรมและบุญประเพณีต่างๆ อย่างยั่งยืน และด้านศาสนวัตถุ วัดมีตู้เก็บหนังสือพระไตรปิฎกแต่ยังไม่มีการนำมาใช้ในการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนารวมทั้งยังไม่ได้เผยแผ่ผ่านสื่อทันสมัย 3.จากการวิเคราะห์ปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาของคณะสงฆ์อำเภอเชียงคาน จังหวัดเลย ปัจจัยที่มีความพร้อมในการส่งเสริมต่อการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนา ประกอบด้วย 5 ด้าน คือ ด้านศาสนธรรม ด้านศาสนบุคคล ด้านศาสนสถาน ด้านศาสนพิธีและด้านศาสนวัตถุ ส่วนการพัฒนาที่จะทำให้ดีขึ้นนั้นควรเพิ่มศักยภาพด้านศาสนบุคคลให้มีศักยภาพมากยิ่งขึ้นและมีสมณสารูปให้น่าเลื่อมใสยิ่งขึ้น มีความรู้ความสามารถในการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาแก่พุทธศาสนิกชนและด้านศาสนวัตถุควรมีการเผยแผ่หลักธรรมจากพระไตรปิฎกและพัฒนาการใช้สื่อเทคโนโลยี เช่น เฟสบุ๊คของแต่ละวัด เพื่อนำมาใช้ในการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาและการประชาสัมพันธ์ นอกจากนี้ทุกวัดมีการจัดกิจกรรมร่วมกับชุมชนประจำคุ้มวัดได้อย่างเหมาะสมกับบริบทของวัดโดยยึดหลักการ “บวร” คือ บ้าน วัด โรงเรียนและราชการ ซึ่งเป็นหลักการที่ควรต่อยอดพัฒนาให้เข้มแข็ง เพื่อสร้างความสามัคคีและมั่นคงสืบต่อไป
