Abstract

This research aimed to examine the political behavior of boat operators in Bueng Khong Long District, Bueng Kan Province with four main objectives: (1) to investigate the personal characteristics of the respondents, (2) to analyze the levels of political behavior across different dimensions, (3) to identify the relationships between personal factors and political behavior, and (4) to propose appropriate guidelines for political expression in accordance with democratic principles. The sample consisted of 143 boat operators. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed through percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson’s correlation coefficient. The findings revealed that most respondents were male (91.61%), aged between 46–55 years (31.47%), with an educational background of diploma or vocational certificate (33.57%). The majority had a monthly income between 30,001–40,000 baht (28.68%) and operated jet ski boats (38.46%). Overall, the respondents demonstrated a high level of political behavior Among the five dimensions, the highest mean score was found in political news monitoring followed by political support, political expression and political participation, while the lowest was political opinion acceptance The correlation analysis indicated that education level (r = 0.231, p = 0.006) and type of boat (specifically in political opinion acceptance) (r = 0.201, p = 0.040) had statistically significant relationships with political behavior at the .05 level, whereas gender, age, income, and social status showed no significant correlations. The study suggests that boat operators should recognize the importance of participating in elections, critically evaluate candidates and their policies before making decisions, support political activities in constructive ways, respect differing opinions, utilize social media responsibly, and establish cooperative networks to enhance political participation both at the local and national levels. These practices will contribute to strengthening democratic development with quality and sustainability.

สารนิพนธ์นี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา 1) เพื่อศึกษาระดับการแสดงออกพฤติกรรมทางการเมืองของผู้ประกอบการเรือโดยสาร อำเภอบึงโขงหลง จังหวัดบึงกาฬ 2) เพื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลกับการแสดงออกพฤติกรรมทางการเมืองของผู้ประกอบการเรือโดยสาร อำเภอบึงโขงหลง จังหวัดบึงกาฬ และ 3) เพื่อนำเสนอแนวทางการแสดงออกพฤติกรรมทางการเมืองตามระบอบประชาธิปไตยของผู้ประกอบการเรือโดยสาร อำเภอบึงโขงหลง จังหวัดบึงกาฬ กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ ได้แก่ ผู้ประกอบการเรือโดยสาร จำนวน 143 คน เป็นการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยแบบสอบถาม นำข้อมูลมาวิเคราะห์ด้วยสถิติ ได้แก่ ความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานและค่าสหสัมพันธ์เพียร์สัน (Pearson’s Correlation)ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศชาย ร้อยละ 91.61 มีอายุระหว่าง 46–55 ปี ร้อยละ 31.47 จบการศึกษาในระดับอนุปริญญา/ปวส. ร้อยละ 33.57 มีรายได้ระหว่าง 30,001–40,000 บาท ร้อยละ 28.68 และประกอบกิจการเรือประเภทสำราญและกีฬา (เจ็ตสกี) ร้อยละ 38.46 โดยภาพรวมผู้ประกอบการมีพฤติกรรมทางการเมืองอยู่ในระดับมาก เมื่อพิจารณาเป็นรายด้าน พบว่ามีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุดในด้านการติดตามข่าวสารทางการเมือง รองลงมาคือ ด้านการสนับสนุนทางการเมือง ด้านการแสดงความคิดเห็นและการมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมือง และต่ำสุดคือด้านการยอมรับความคิดเห็นทางการเมือง ผลการวิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลกับพฤติกรรมทางการเมือง พบว่า ระดับการศึกษา (r = 0.231, p = 0.006) และ ประเภทเรือ (เฉพาะด้านการยอมรับความคิดเห็นทางการเมือง) (r = 0.201, p = 0.040) มีความสัมพันธ์อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 ขณะที่เพศ อายุ รายได้และสถานภาพทางสังคมไม่มีความสัมพันธ์อย่างมีนัยสำคัญ ข้อเสนอแนะจากการวิจัย ได้แก่ ผู้ประกอบการควรตระหนักถึงการใช้สิทธิเลือกตั้ง ศึกษาข้อมูลผู้สมัครและนโยบายก่อนตัดสินใจ สนับสนุนกิจกรรมทางการเมืองอย่างสร้างสรรค์ เปิดใจยอมรับความคิดเห็นที่แตกต่าง ใช้สื่อสังคมออนไลน์อย่างเหมาะสม ตลอดจนสร้างเครือข่ายกลุ่มผู้ประกอบการเพื่อส่งเสริมการมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมืองในระดับท้องถิ่นและระดับชาติ อันจะนำไปสู่การพัฒนาประชาธิปไตยที่มีคุณภาพและยั่งยืน
